Notified About

  • 1274-1294 Ella T Grasso Blvd New Haven, Connecticut - Edgewood
The splashpad at Edgewood has not worked all summer. This is unacceptable considering the intense heat and humidity we have been experiencing since late July.
  • Farnam Dr New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - East Rock
I would like to request that Farnum Drive and Park Drive in East Rock Park remain closed forever! There are so many people who cannot use the trails (or are afraid of them) who are taking advantage of using the roads to walk in the park. Jogger, walker, stroller, pets, the elderly, bicyclists...it's amazing! When open, the traffic on those roads is dangerous with many vehicles speeding and driving recklessly. I have also noticed there there is NO DUMPING happening now that the roads are closed. Please consider NOT re-opening those roads to traffic.
  • 25 Science Park New Haven, Connecticut - Dixwell
Please post no parking signs to block 20-30 feet on each side of the driveway. This is a very blind exit that is extremely dangerous.
  • 85 Whitney Ave New Haven 06510, United States - Yale University Campus
Almost hit by a car which crossed on red lights!
No Pedestrian button for traffic lights
This crossing is one of the most dangerous in New Haven City, and it is just a matter of time before a car hit a pedestrian.
Drivers push and do not respect traffic red lights or pedestrian right of way.
Police should enforce this crossing or City of New Haven could add one of this traffic camera to ticket automatically and electronically disrespectful drivers.
If the City of New Haven really care about pedestrians’ safety it should act now before it is too late.
Tired of being a daily target to agressive drivers who get away with everything.

561 Edgewood Ave New Haven, CT 06511, USA - Edgewood
Upper Edgewood Parkdesperate need of mowing. it hasn't been mowed in over a month and we now have sapling weeds growing in the park. please mow this area!
  • Traffic/Road Safety Acknowledged
468–498 James St New Haven 06513, United States - Mill River
There is no pedestrian crosswalk here at the offramp and there is no safe way to walk from James to State Street. This becomes a problem as the district has now opened.
  • 47-75 Trumbull St New Haven Ct 06510 USA - Yale University Campus
Almost every day on my way to work from downtown to Yale's School of Management, I am nearly hit by a car. The northbound cars turning right from Whitney Avenue onto Trumbull Street do NOT realize that the pedestrian walk signal is on and that they must yield to pedestrians. When the pedestrian walk sign is on and I try to cross, the turning cars continue driving at me and drivers blow their horns and yell at me. Even more stressful than these antagonizing interactions is the knowledge that one day someone probably will be hit and killed/severely injured. Traffic signage MUST be improved to indicate that right-turning cars must yield to pedestrians, or the pedestrian walk light should be rewired to only turn on when the Whitney Avenue light is red. Perhaps clearer cross-walk lines should also be instituted. This intersection is heavily trafficked by employees and students every single day, so I exhort the City to make this a priority.
  • 410 Woodward Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Annex
The trees in East Shore Park are in DESPERATE need of being cleaned of invasive and native species of vine which are growing well into the canopy of many of the trees. I would easily say that 95% of the trees inside the park along the areas of unmown lawn especially are affected. As well, two trees have been girdled by vandalism, with many more being girdled by invasives such as bittersweet. I understand the financial crisis of the city and the Park Departments decision to let the lawn go wild for the last two seasons prior to this one, but in doing this, invasives have come in and are scaffolding up most of the trees. This situation is approaching dire.
  • East Rock Park Road New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock

East Rock Park Road is a beautiful lane through and alongside the park. It would be perfect for walking, jogging, and biking if it weren't for the fact that people in cars barrel down it at unsafe speeds seeking a shortcut to Whitney Avenue. They often drive right out into Whitney without stopping, heedless of pedestrians on the sidewalk at Whitney.

People also frequently use the road for unsightly and unhealthy illegal dumping.

Since there is no destination on this stretch of road—no houses or other buildings or even the park are currently accessible from any point between East Rock Road and Whitney—it seems that from a vehicular standpoint, its only purpose is to shave a few seconds off a trip north on Whitney Avenue. It seems to me that with little consequence to the traffic system, this road could be closed to auto traffic by installing bollards or the like, leaving it to the enjoyment of pedestrians, runners, and cyclists.

  • Ferry Street New Haven, Connecticut - Chatham Square
Why is nothing being done to help the good citizens of Fair Haven... there are still good people that reside here, help us take this off our streets. I watched parents have to walk their children to summer school, they have to walk by this. It is unfair to our children to have to see this. Now that schools starting this is what they see while they are waiting for their buses or walking to school. Come on Mayor please do something to help us. Get rid of these prostitutes that are roaming our streets morning, noon and night. Move these meth clinics. Drive through and see what we are up against😢
  • 317 Alden Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
The intersection of Alden Ave and Willard Street needs to be a four way stop for all vehicles. There are far too many accidents and near accidents at this location. Plus, it will stop the constant speeding down Alden Avenue. It is difficult and frightening to cross Alden Avenue for pedestrians.
  • 677 Elm Street New Haven Connecticut - Edgewood

Someone has spray-painted the N word on a house. I'm not exactly sure of the street number, but I think it was 677/678 or around there.

This needs to be cleaned up immediately and investigated by police. Also calling the non-emergency line.
