Notified About

  • 1298 Miller Avenue Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
This crosswalk (across Miller between Pomona and Wesley) lacks pedestrian crossing signs. It is the only crosswalk on Miller between Maple and Main Street that lacks the signs. Also, the crosswalk is on a hill, so the signs will make it more visible in both directions.

112-152 N Maple Rd Ann Arbor, MI, 48103, USA - Ann Arbor

So apparently, A2 uses AI to help improve traffic, however, it has *not* learned how to properly allocate traffic at the stoplight at Jackson and Maple. Driving west on Jackson and approaching Maple, there is constantly a pile of up traffic (especially from 4-6pm) and yet the wait for the light to turn green is an average of 3+ minutes. There is never a pile of traffic on Maple. Why isn't the green light longer for the Jackson side? And it seems super inefficient (e.g. Jackson going west + left turn gets a green, then waits, before going east gets a green + left. Often the left turn lane is completely empty before it turns red again) The whole thing could use a rehaul.

  • Hazardous Crosswalk Acknowledged
625 S State Street Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
Sometime last year, the city painted lines for a crosswalk on the north side of the T-intersection where Madison hits State Street. Hundreds of law students and undergraduates use that crossing every day. We are grateful for the crosswalk, but there have been unintended hazards as a result. I have personally witnessed half a dozen incidents since last semester where students almost get hit by cars at night because it is not obvious that it is a crosswalk. If the city could install crosswalk lights, that would make the area much safer for students and drivers. Thank you for your time and consideration!
  • Nixon Rd. Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
There is a crosswalk on Nixon Rd. near the entrance to Clague middle school. I've noticed that there is no street light illuminating the cross-walk, making it very difficult for drivers to see pedestrians waiting to cross or already in the cross-walk when it is dark in the early morning or in the evening. Drivers very often fail to yield to pedestrians here and I have had some near misses with cars. Please consider adding a streetlight here to make pedestrians more visible before an accident happens!

Huron And Glazier Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
This is a dangerous intersection for bikers, pedestrians traveling north on the sidewalk. Because cars travel south on Huron, drivers at the intersection of Glazier only look left. They also do not stop at all at this stop sign, let alone look for pedestrians. On today's commute and 3 days ago in broad daylight I would've been struck by another car while bike commuting. This is the norm. I have learned to yield to the cars bc they never pay attention, and sometimes I have to knock on the car to get their attention. I have reported this issue several times and made suggestions such as painting a crosswalk sign (though cars routinely stop IN the crosswalks), a look for bikers/pedestrian sign, etc. What we want to prevent is needing another ghost bike to remind drivers to stop and look for pedestrians/bikers. This is crucial esp with the shorter daylight hours. There is already a problem in broad daylight wearing a bright yellow reflective jacket.
  • 918 S 7th St Ann Arbor 48103, United States - Ann Arbor
Bike lane in both directions on 7th is full of ice and snow while the road is clear. Please make it a priority to clear this bike lane as it is a major cycle commuter throughway. In fact, the city made this bike lane safer with a double painted line. I know it will warm up today, and most likely melt. However, it would be much safer for cyclists to have a clear, usable bike lane on 7th to depend on. Please make this a priority when clearing roads of snow and ice. Thank you
  • Crosswalks Acknowledged
434 South State Street Ann Arbor, Michigan - Ann Arbor
I am a U of M employee who works in Angell Hall. Twice a day or more, I use the crosswalk going across the street from 435 S. State St. to 434 S. State St. For the past month or so, cars have regularly parked in the crosswalk, with impunity. Consequently, cars passing by down respect the crosswalk nor look at the pedestrians trying to cross their. I have been about to walk across that crosswalk 4 or 5 times in the past month, only to have to stop suddenly when a driver whizzes right by without stopping at the crosswalk. Something needs to be done here, or else a pedestrian is going to be, God forbid, hit and killed. Either enforce the crosswalk and the prohibition to park on it, or eliminate the crosswalk. Either one or the other. Please address this as soon as possible.
  • 301–379 W Washington St Ann Arbor 48103, United States - Ann Arbor
Huge potholes at the bottom of the hill. Today I was going down the hill and didn’t see it in time, popped my bike tire, and was almost flung off my bike. This has got to get fixed.

844 W Huron St Ann Arbor, MI, 48103, USA - Ann Arbor
I cross the W Huron St and 7th St intersection everyday and I am worried one day I will get run over because the drivers do not seem to pay any attention to the pedestrians. Because the intersection is at an angle the drivers turning onto Huron St from 7th do not pay any attention to the pedestrians crossing Huron. Yesterday I started crossing Huron right as light turned green for me and had to wait in the middle of the intersection, because the cars turning into Huron would not stop for me. The cars were going to fast that if I tried to walk I was scared I would get run over. I ended up having to run as the light for me turned red before I was able to finish crossing Huron. One time a driver started yelling at me when I was crossing on the green light and they were the ones supposed to wait on me to cross. There is a school near by and I worry about the safety of the kids I see walking to and from school as well. I feel like the intersections is just getting more and more dangerous and the drivers drive way faster than the 35mph speed limit, and so there should be something done (additional light to people turning left, speed meter, another speed sign) to make this intersection safer.

5+ potholes about car wheel size in front of this house.

Now that Greenview road in the Lansdowne neighborhood is the detour to Seventh from Scio Church, ALL the potholes must be addressed! The whole stretch from Scio Church to Seventh is a wreak. The additional traffic is going to make all the pot holes worse, and they are going to make the detour route dangerous as people try to avoid the potholes by driving on the wrong side of the road. Please fix immediately!

Someone in Haymaker's kitchen keeps emptying the grease from their fryer into the alley storm drain on Monday mornings. It has happened three weeks a row! It stinks and is very gross. There is a grease receptacle right the by their kitchen door but for some reason it keeps being put in the alley drain.
I live right next to this drain and it is very offensive. Please help!
