Notified About

  • 99 Charles St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 1
Please explain why the City of Malden refuses to enforce the attached section of the city ordinance, Stop and Shop is allowing a local body shop to store cars on the Chales St side despite a city ordinance that requires auto repair shops to store all cars on the premises and a second ordinance that requires all off site parking even if no fee is charged to obtain a license. Stop and Shop is violating both of these ordinances but for some reason is receiving special treatment. The cars are in various stages of repair, on the Charles St. Side between the entrance and Canal St. This has been reported twice before and closed with no action. Please treat all auto shops and land owners equally

Whats being done if any to All the Non Essential Businesses operating in and around Malden ? Legit business are following the rules - The rest aren't and are making they're own rules ? If a restaurant /bar was open they'd get fined and lose licenses . Painters - wood floor companies (Canal ST) carpenters -siding - Homeowners and Contractors need to be equally held accountable. They are possibly spreading and carrying the virus . Control it .
  • 1-29 Concord St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4
There a a problem property at 16 and 20 Concord Street. There are numerous tenants living in the apartments and they park and leave their numerous cars on the street. One tenant has four cars and I’m so disgusted with this problem. I can’t even leave my house because I will not have a place to park. The landlord s should not be allowed to rent to as many tenants as they want. The tenant park and leave their cars for Months on end. Something needs to be as soon as possible it’s getting out of hand . Thank you for your prompt consideration in this matter.
  • 28 Forest St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 5

Someone is going to die on Forest Street.

    Malden - DO SOMETHING.

Needing to walk down the middle of the street, with NO visibility into oncoming traffic, at an already dangerous intersection is uncalled for.

Sidewalks on both sides fo the road are "under construction" and blocked off, and parking is still allowed on the street.

  • Fellsway & Riverside Ave Medford, MA, 02155, USA - Medford

Going southbound on the Fellsway, approaching the intersection with Riverside, there are five lanes: left turn only, two straight ahead lanes, a bike lane, and a right-turn only lane.

This is a new traffic pattern, ever since the road was restriped earlier in the summer.

Motor vehicles often proceed straight through the right-turn only lane. Usually when traffic is heavy, motorists will do this to skip the line for the straight-ahead lanes.

This is dangerous for cyclists going straight in the bike lane. I ride here every work day. I have been closely-passed on both the right and left. If you're waiting at the red on a bike, and a car pulls up behind with no intention of turning right, you have three options and none of them is great:
    - Move aside and let them go, encouraging scofflaw behavior
    - Ride ahead with the green and use lane control to prevent a close pass. Expect a honk.
    - Stand pat on green and make the driver merge into the proper lane. I tried this today and it worked, however, there's a risk of angering the driver.

It would be great to limit this behavior. A well-placed concrete barrier would entirely remove the temptation for motorists to misuse the right-turn lane -- if that's compatible with the needs of plows and emergency vehicles? Or maybe enforcement or improved signage would help?

  • Mountain Ave Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4
This was the sidewalk along the Mountain Avenue side of Coyotemore Lea/Holland Pool this morning.
I believe this is the responsibility of the City of Malden.
We need to do better than this. I would rather walk on the sidewalk than in the beautifully cleared street.
  • Appleton St & Hancock St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 1

  • 170 Centre St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4
Extremely loud building alarms have been running from 1am through 9am around 100 Exchange street this week. First occurrence was Monday and then again Today (Wednesday). The alarms are not pausing they just keep going. Sounds like it is coming from the National Grid building on Exchange Street or one of the parking garages.

  • Highland Ave & School St Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 2
Good Morning. I’ve reported this problem before and there has been a lackluster response. It’s been a month now that roadwork was done in front of 181 Highland Ave in Malden. Because of the SHODDY, Uneven finish, every time a truck passes through, it makes a LOUD noise and shakes the house. My house is over a hundred years old. Is the city of Malden going to take care of damages to my foundation???
Not to mention the racket it creates at Night!!!!
The day after I last complained, they came and put huge orange barrels in the middle of the road. This has made parking on the street even more dangerous!!!
