1096 Fellsway Medford, Massachusetts - MedfordThere are a lot of residents that work in the city in this area now and take the bus in and out of the city. This Fellsway/Medford St/Central Ave intersection has become incredibly dangerous to cross. There is never a chance where NO cars are passing in which pedestrians can cross to the other side of the street after getting off the number 100 bus. We just run across when drivers are on their phones and don't realize the light is green for them or they intentionally let us cross, but many times I've seen cars not aware that people are crossing, specially in the darker months and several people have been on the verge of getting hit by a car. Lights should all be red for a few minutes to give pedestrians the chance to safely cross the street.
18 Vernon St Malden 02148, United States - Malden Ward 4RE: KAPPY’S LIQUORS on 746 Main Street in Malden 02148. Please make it crystal clear to Kappy’s owned Drizly Alcohol Delivery Car owner and ANYONE/EVERYONE who drives the vehicle to TURN OFF THE CAR RADIO FOREVER. It is kept in the back Vernon Street Parking Lot. Lowering it does NOT HELP. The BANGING BASS still is going on every other 5-10 minutes. And this has been going on since last summer. They’ve been contacted a million times already by the neighborhood. It is WINTER and windows are closed and No One should hear that car ever again. Have them tape the radio controls or keep the car in their FRONT parking lots.. right at their Front Entrance or Across the street in their 3rd parking lot off of Main and Orient Street. Summer will be here soon with windows open and I’m dreading it. People work from home, keep various hours, suffer from severe migraines etc and it’s rude and inconsiderate to the Residents. They should be fined with Noise Complaints. I hope this is the LAST TIME this needs to be addressed. It may sound ok to them.. it does not sound or feel (you can actually feel the BASS.. yes, even with volume lowered) ok in any way, shape or form from INSIDE of people’s homes. We are entitled to PEACEFUL ENJOYMENT OF OUR HOMES.

Main Street northbound in the area of Spadafora's Funeral Home often sees cars waiting at the stoplight form into two columns of traffic despite there being no lane markings to guide this behavior.
It usually results in cars from both columns trying to continue north on Main Street at the same time, and having to merge into the one lane that actually exists in the middle of the intersection while people are also trying to turn onto Winter and Forest Street.
This situation slows down the free flow of traffic and can become dangerous.
54–98 Elm St Malden 02148, United States - Malden Ward 3This is the sidewalk going up the hill to Beebe School, it is a sheet of ice and I’ve seen 2 parents almost fall and several kids just slide down the hill towards the Main Street. The city did a horrendous job cleaning up the sidewalks and streets. The whole street passing the stadium which is a main place for people to walk to Malden Station has zero sidewalks, they were completely snow covered. Terrible!
Pleasant St @ Russell St Malden, MA 02148, USA - Malden Ward 3Snow and ice blocking the crosswalk and sidewalk. How are children supposed to be able to walk to school or commuters to the train station?

The owner of the gas station on the corner of Main St and Forest has not shoveled a single time all winter. Multiple complaints on this same exact issue have been filed via this site all winter, and we've received multiple responses such as "snow has been cleared" after it has melted, and "the owner of the property has been cited".
This intersection is already pretty dangerous for pedestrians (see https://seeclickfix.com/issues/3043166) and this sidewalk not being shoveled makes it even worse. Pedestrians are forced to walk in the road on Forest St when coming to or from Main St, at the risk of being hit by cars making a fast turn. This is a heavily trafficked intersection for both cars and pedestrians due to Oak Grove MBTA so close.
At what point will the city actually put value to the safety of pedestrians? The property owner can receive thousands of dollars in citations each year, but that doesn't make the snow go away if they just ignore it.
Malden, please, think about the safety of your citizens!!!
Commercial St Malden 02148, United States - Malden Ward 4There are vehicles belonging to the construction staff that continuously park on the pedestrian crossing making it extremely dangerous for those who are crossing to the other side. There have been numerous calls made to Malden police and verbal complaints to officers on duty near the area. I can only believe, no one, including Malden officials, want a tragedy happen here especially since citizens have came forth voicing concerns. The construction staff have even been approached. Nothing works including reaching out to the traffic department and speaking to the Lt. who has instructed me to get in touch if I see anymore vehicles there. Unfortunately this tends to happen a lot more on the weekends while that office is closed. The construction crew get paid to work and get the job done, however, it doesn’t constitute a ‘hall pass’ to park in the street making it a hazard to pedestrians. Please take care of this. Thank you.
29 Winter St Malden, MA 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4I just witnessed yet ANOTHER near head on collision caused by a reckless driver turning from Winter onto Autumn. This one drove past stopped traffic the full length of the block on Winter from Banks to Autumn on the wrong side of the double yellow, before nearly hitting a car head on turning right from Autumn onto Winter. This is CONSTANT during the evening rush hour, whenever the traffic backs up from Main. I have nearly been hit more times than I can count, as has probably just about every driver who lives in this neighborhood. The behavior is horrendously dangerous, not only for other drivers, but especially for pedestrians who have no reason to expect a car driving the wrong way. As I posted before, I saw a woman and two young children almost run over a few months back by a driver pulling this exact same stunt. The area is dangerous enough without this being tolerated. We need some enforcement here please. Between this and the drivers flying the wrong way up Kenmore as a short cut, it is only a matter of time before something very bad happens.

Can a cross walk be added to this intersection for pedestrians?
This intersection seems like a good area to have a cross walk because of the median and traffic light pole already there. Many people walk to Oak Grove along this street and I have noticed it is difficult to do it safely.
There are no other designated crosswalks along Forest Street.
I also think there should be a walk button and cross walk for crossing Main at Forest. This would improve pedestrian safety in Malden when walking to Oak Grove.
26-28 Kenmore Rd Malden, MA 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4Thank you Malden for the beautiful fountain and flowing water feature that you have installed at this location. It has been here for a week now and all of the residents just LOVE it. In fact, we are considering hosting a neighborhood regatta. Many of us are however concerned by what it is doing to the street and the ground under it, and by the amount of water being wasted. Several hundred gallons per day must being going right down the drain. Literally.
