Notified About

  • 13806 Parkland Drive Rockville, MD - Aspen Hill
Recent storm damged the tree and its roots lifted the adjacent sidewalk in front of my house. A safety issue for users of the sidewalk.
  • Lighting Archived
10760 Wayridge Road Gaithersburg, MD - Montgomery Village
The county lights on Wayridge Drive are very dim, and the Village Lights on the pathways are out.
  • Two potholes Archived
3500 Kayson St Silver Spring, MD 20906, USA - Greater Glenmont
Two potholes at the intersection of Bluhill Road and Kayson Street in the Aspen Hill Area. These two pot holes have been here for some time. Both are growing.
  • 912 Thayer Ave Silver Spring MD 20910 - Silver Spring
Pot holes in the middle of the street! This is an area with a lot of people walking across the street to the Safeway I have almost stepped in it walking across the street. And it kills my car when I forget it is there and drive over it.
  • Pothole Open
Colston Pl And Colston Drive Chevy Chase, MD - Silver Spring
At the intersection of colston drive and colston place there is a pothole that is constantly filled with water. There is another pothole at the intersection of colston place and blaine drive, however this one does not accumulate water.
  • Garbage Archived
1st Ave Silver Spring, MD - Silver Spring
A bunch of garbage at this public trash can has been pulled and dumped out of the can and dumped on the ground surrounding the unit. It was possibly done by either an animal or a homeless person overnight (it is currently Sunday morning). I'm not sure anyone in the neighborhood wants to wait until trash day on Thursday to see it cleaned up.
  • 12702 Flack Street Silver Spring, MD 20906 - Greater Glenmont

This house continues to be a problem. I recently reported it for grass which has grown 3-feet high. The county is finally getting involved over the grass.

The house at 12702 Flack Street has been vacant for more than one year. A notice posted in the front window states that the property is owned by Chase Home Finance LLC. Phone # 877.790.1035 (LPS Field Svcs 440.633.4100). The grass gets cut infrequently, so the property looks shabby. There is trash, piles of yard debris, and standing water in the back yard. All of these are attractions to rats. Rats have been observed by neighbors. In addition, there was break in, which was reported to police, sometime in late Jan or February. The bank was alerted to the break in -- their response was to pull the broken window closed (without repairing the glass) and changing the locks -- the broken window is on the left side of the house. This kind of neglect is unacceptable. Our hope is that the property (the house seems to be in good shape) be cleaned up and sold quickly. A vacant house is a magnet to vermin and vagarants. Our neighborhood does not need either.

  • Gaithersburg Rockville Bethesda md - North Potomac
On I270 both north and southbound - all street lights are out between exit 8 Shady Grove road and exit 6 West Montgomery road. Also all lights are out on southbound Westlake terrace exit ramp and Democracy blvd area of I270. This a dangerous situation and needs to be fixed soon.
  • 9622 9658 Old Georgetown Rd Bethesda, MD - Bethesda

The sidewalks along Old Georgetown Rd. from just inside the beltway up to about Lone Oak are very overgrown, and because there's no tree lawn the users (bicyclists, walkers)are very close to very fast traffic. See photo (this is actually a bit south, but the Wyngate Citizens Assoc. cut it back!). Please cut back the brush, and maybe save a life!

UPDATE 2/19/2012: The sidewalks are much better! Not sure why the brush was cut back only about 90% though -- why not all the way?!

  • 7901-7979 Sligo Creek Pkwy Takoma Park, MD 20912, USA, Takoma Park, MD - Takoma Park
The street lights on Carroll Avenue as it crosses Sligo Creek are on during daylight hours. This wastes electricity and taxpayer money. It exacerbates global warming in a community that cares about the environment.
  • 12900 Dean Road Silver Spring, MD - Greater Glenmont
There are over a dozen potholes on Dean Road between the intersections of Dean/Goodhill Road and Dean/Conn Ave that need to be filled. This whole section of Dean Road constantly has potholes. It would be better to have it milled and repaved as each time the potholes are filled, they reform within weeks.
  • 12523 Linda View Lane Potomac, MD - Rockville
Despite being in a brand new neighborhood, this new rusting fire hydrant is a disgusting eyesore, looks like it was last cleaned and painted a hundred years ago. Everyone I have called about this says it's not their department who handles the cleaning or painting of fire hydrants.
