  • 134–146 Brunswick St Jersey City 07302, United States - Downtown
New bike station needed. Current station is rusted and paint is peeling. There is also an accumulation of trash between the station and the curb.
  • Grand St & Washington St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - The Waterfront
My children are bussed from PS 16 to Danforth. I am becoming increasingly concerned with the lack of a safe area for the numerous buses to pull over on Grand and Washington. Every morning and afternoon the buses gridlock the street, and create major traffic because there is not adequate parking for the 6 plus buses that are needed to facilitate getting these spillover children to their Danforth school. Children are forced to walk into the street to get to their double parked buses- it's an accident waiting to happen. How do we go about removing residential street parking on Washington Street from Grand to Sussex to help with this issue? If you stop allowing residents to park on Washington in front os PS 16, it will greatly expedite the bus situation and make things MUCH safer for pedestrians and drivers in that area.

  • 321-327 Grove St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown

We all know the person who is handicapped and sitting on a wheel chair in the sidewalk of Columbus and Grove near the square or near the PATH entrance.
Whose responsibility it is to take care of him? Looks like someone drops in and picks him. While I surely want to join the others to help him , don't know how to. Should the city take care of it ?

In the morning rush people see him every day and dropping a dollar in his bowl is not going to solve his problem. I have raised this sometime back. Thought of raising it again.

  • 179 Warren St Jersey City, NJ 07302, USA - The Waterfront

This is a recurring issue and needs attention as impossible to get by when tables are full with a double wide stroller and sometimes is only one way traffic possible only. the tables are sticking out too far to allow for foot traffic to pass thru properly per the ordinance. per the ordiance, they should have 6ft of clearance or more than 1/2 the width of sidewalk. With the massive potters on the sidewalk, the clearance distance between potters and table barriers is less than 6ft.

§ 296-80. - Operation of a Sidewalk Café; Projection into sidewalks. [Amended 7-20-2011 by Ord. No. 11-076]

"No Sidewalk Cafe shall project into a sidewalk more than half the width of said sidewalk, but only to a maximum of ten (10) feet. In no case shall it extend so far as to leave less than six (6) feet for pedestrian traffic"

O'Haras is a total nightmare. The constant drunken street brawls outside of this establishment and the trashy crowds of patrons who not only scream all night, they leave tons of trash, bottles and cans behind them on the sidewalk every night. Not to mention all the idiots out front idling on motorcycles revving their engines loudly at 3am thinking they are being cute and nobody says a word.

Last night at 2am there was yet another huge drunken street brawl in the middle of Marin Blvd and I watched as two guys punched each other until one knocked the other one out flat in the middle of Marin Blvd. Then the women started going at it on first street until the JCPD finally chased them down too... As soon as the JCPD left the women were back along with their male companions and screaming and trying to kill each other until 3am... They were so drunk that they could barely stand, and then got in their cars and drove off. That's the norm. The crowds openly fight in the middle of the street blocking traffic and nobody does a damned thing... The police need to stay on top of this place as it is a well known hot-spot for drunken brawls and last year even a murder. Yet it took the JCPD 20 minutes to show up AGAIN.

The liquor license of this place needs to be revoked until they get their trashy weekend crowds under control. They are a serious nuisance and a threat to public safety now. The local residents have a right to the enjoyment of their own homes and not to be terrorized by this constant stream of trashy drunken patrons from O'Haras. I assure you that everyone living on Saddlewood and Laurel Court, and in the Art House building are totally fed up with O'Haras and wish it would just shut down.

Steuben street closed both sides again. This is unacceptable. My wife has a disability and this is a mess. Will be calling State Police as well.

The elevator at the JC Free Public Library is unsafe. The city elevator inspector should inspect it. It needs to be either fixed or shut down to make sure no one gets hurt in an unsafe elevator.

  • Warren Street Betwn Grand And Morris Street Jersey City, New Jersey - Downtown
Warren street between Grand and Morris Street is a no Truck designation. There are all forms if trucks flying down the street towards the portside towers. The delivery trucks are using Warren street as a direct egress instead of Washington Street which is the truck designation. These heavy trucks are damaging the historic homes. Please enforce this no trucks traffic issue.
  • 318 York St Jersey City, NJ, 07302, USA - Downtown
There is a large tree (>50 ft) in an adjacent property that is partially dead. It is unfortunately leaning towards my home. The large branch in question is not on my side of the property therefore I'm unable to take action. I've informed the owner several times however has not taken any action. Is there a department within the city that can enforce the owner of the property to properly address the hazard? It's a serious safety issue for both my kids and and/or property.
