I just witnessed a car accident (today 5/10) at the intersection of Erie Street and 3rd Street. The 2 cars collided badly. One of them hit the sidewalk at high speed immediately after. This is a dangerous intersection. Erie Street needs to have a stop sign there, not just 3rd street. There is a school right around the corner so there are lots of children crossing sidewalks. Cars tend to go on Erie at high speed because of the absence of stop signs for several blocks. Adding stop signs and speed bumps on Erie would help reduce speed and increase drivers' attention at intersections. Thank you.
Pothole has now essentially become a crater. Here's a picture of one of the two cars that got stuck in it over the weekend and required a tow truck. When water fills up, drivers have no idea of the severity and have gotten stuck. Also causes other drivers to then dangerously reverse around the entire area to get out. This has been an issue for over a month now and continues to get worse.
There is a hole in the sidewalk between 617 Jersey Ave and the Embankment by 6th Street. Employees of Gotham West on 615 Jersey Ave have put a cone , but people have moved it from time to time, leaving this trip hazard.
Keyhole bar has a PA speaker outside playing music. This is not allowed. Look at the amount of nightclubs in this area and imagine if every one of them did the same thing. This city needs to enforce the ordinances that created to protect the quality of life of the residences who need to live around these establishments.

Every morning I walk by The Scandinavian School of Jersey City and every morning the sidewalk is blocked by about a dozen strollers making it nearly impossible for pedestrians to use the sidewalk. If the strollers were just left there temporarily by parents dropping off kids I could excuse it but these strollers belong to the school and are being left out for hours at a time. And to make things worse, they often leave their trash cans on the sidewalk right next to the strollers. It's bad enough that they've got most of the sidewalk fenced off, do they really need to block the rest of the sidewalk as well?

There have been numerous accidents at this intersection which is right next to a school. Two that I have a record of, occurred on Friday May 10 and on Thursday May 30. The cars in both cases ended up on the sidewalk where children walk regularly to and from school at times of accident. More accidents have occurred there but I do not have specific dates. As many drivers do not respect this area as residential and speed through the neighborhood in an attempt to get the nearby highway and/or tunnel, they roll through the one way stop sign on 3rd street, while others speed through the intersection heading up Erie. I am a physically healthy adult raised in NYC, and I have feared at times to cross this intersection. Innocent children on the sidewalk do not stand a chance.
