Every other business in Malden has done a great job with the Covid-19 requirements that i have seen. But, Dairy Delight has done nothing but block the sidewalk. There are no signs or placemarkers for social distancing. People are all over the place, blocking the sidewalk. The owners also leave a uncovered trash on the sidewalk over night for the racoons to eat from. In addition, I believe it is against health code to have uncovered trash bins in a food serving area. Make them clean up their act as they are putting us all at risk. Maybe they can serve out of the back and not obstruct pedestrian access on the sidewalk and allow for proper social distancing.

This facility makes noise constantly in summertime and is especially disturbing in the nighttime 11:00PM-7:00AM for residents in 17-19 Washington St apartment. Would you measure decibel level in the nighttime? A soundproof wall surrounding that facility should reduce the noise level.
  • Holland Memorial Pool 108 Mountain Ave, Malden, MA, 02148, USA - Malden Ward 4
The phone at the Holland Memorial Pool is broken (at Mountain Ave & Dartmouth St, Malden, MA 02148). I went to the pool to see if they were open because the phone number didn't work. The staff there said this boss tried to fix the phone but it is still broken. How can I find out if the pool is closed due to thunderstorms if there is nothing posted on the website and I can't call to find out? Please repair and create a text message system to update swimmers.

Don’t think it was right to promptly closing out ClickFix# 9131016 first thing this morning. It may have “cleaned your slate” for the day, but, it certainly did NOT address the issue that was brought to your attention on New Year’s Eve.

It was one thing to wait four (4) days to address the issue, that I would expect over a holiday weekend, but, to just close out the issue without passing it along to the proper party to address is totally unacceptable!

One of the reasons we are in the predicament here in this city we are in is that we don’t seem to be taking COVID seriously. Thus the remark made on New Year’s Eve to ease parking restrictions to all for our residents to have visitors! THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANE!

Residents of Malden have not heard from city leaders in WEEKS regarding the status of COVID - 19 as cases continue to rise both here in the city and across the Commonwealth! I know for a fact that this is not the case in other cities - many of whom have been receiving constant contact from their cities and/or towns. Most recently even New Year greetings. Here in Malden we have been on our own to source this information. Certainly not a good thing during a pandemic of this magnitude that has taken too many lives and affected so many of our family members, friends and neighbors.

I think before closing the books on certain issues such as these that are brought to light they should be given the proper review by city government and swift action should be taken by those that can make a difference. Simply closing them out and passing them over without due process is not doing any one of us any good at all. If we didn’t feel that bringing up our concern in this platform would help our neighbors we wouldn’t bother to begin with. We certainly have enough on our plates as it is and don’t need to waste our time here if our comments and concerns are going to be hastily passed over and disregarded!

Car still not cleaned off since storm last week. I believe the reg is needs to be cleaned and moved in 24 hours? Vehicle has not been ticketed and I have a pic of the front but I can't get two pics in?
    Thanks Malden Parking!!!

Our old recycling bin, which we wanted to keep, was taken today. We put broken down boxes into it and put it on the curb to keep them together during the storm last night, we did not expect them to take the bin with the boxes. Please return.

Shocked but not surprised that in Malden neighbors are calling MPD to throw people out of a park well before sundown. Among other things, it's a great place to watch the sunset. I've never once felt unsafe there and neither should the neighbors. I wonder why the neighbors feel that way. Could it have anything to do with the basketball court, the fact that the neighbors have an irrational fear of those using it because they don't fit the demographic of the immediately surrounding neighborhood, and that they are basically using their privilege to get the police to enforce their vision of just who has a right to use Malden's parks? MPD should not acquiesce to being used like this. The city should simply set dusk as the closing time for ALL parks city-wide and enforce the rule evenly. Neither the city nor MPD should allow themselves to be drawn into enforcing the privileged mentality of these neighbors. It's blatantly obvious to me what's going on here and what these residents are doing. Let's not get drawn into this. Because it really doesn't look good. Ask Barbecue Becky, et al. how this sort of thing worked out. Our city doesn't need that.

Why is construction on private property prohibited on Sundays? Not Saturdays? Not Tuesdays? Just Sundays? Is Malden some kind of theocracy? It is blatantly discriminatory. Time to get rid of these anachronistic and offensive rules specifically designed to restrict the conduct of everyone across the entire community in order to satisfy the religious beliefs of a few. Keep YOUR religion out of OUR lives.

To clarify, does the city see nothing wrong with this picture? I hope that isn't the case. But it would explain a lot of the accessibility issues on public property all over the city, which the city seems uninterested in addressing.

This is a very simple question. Is it acceptable to block sidewalks like this?

It's so sad to see all of this recyclable material going into the dumpster each week. 99% of people who live in Malden apt buildings are just NOT going to make the effort to drive their recyclables over to the city yard- or cannot, if they don't have a car or cannot go during the limited hours the gate is open. We need to make recycling as easy as possible. We cannot afford this much environmental responsibility at this time!

Can something please be done regarding the, now heavily frozen, water leaking out of this properties wall. There is now so much ice on the road it is causing issues to cars driving up and down the road. The footpath at this point is also unusable. Someone is going to get hurt before too long and this has been an issues for a couple of months now with nothing done to fix the issue.
