  • 270 3rd St Cambridge, MA, 02142, USA - East Cambridge
The Orange Theory studio at the corner of 3rd and Rogers is now conducting classes with their front door open - the class instructor broadcasts over their PA system and the volume is loud enough to wake those of us in adjacent apartments beginning at 6am.
  • 21–87 Berkshire St Cambridge 02141, United States - Wellington-Harrington
Both sides of the street are blocked for pedestrians due to construction. This is a big problem for people walking and ADA.

COVID19 is a global and very deadly pandemic which requires everyone to do their part in halting its spread. That "part" requires all people to wear a mask in public. No one is exempt from this but it's clear too many people think a mask under their chin or no mask at all is ok as the rules don't apply to them. Of course this translates into asymptomatic individuals spread it to those who might actually die as over 100,000 Americans already have. Therefore it is requested that the City of Cambridge deploy the police unit to vigorously enforce the public health requirement of wearing a mask, to ticket those who aren't wearing a mask, and ensure public health. Thank you.

Please make this stop - over 40 people in line on Antrim and Cambridge streets - sitting on walls in people's driveways while they wait hours for COVID tests. The urgent care parking lot is empty.
  • Albany St & Massachusetts Ave Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - The Port

Lane markings on Mass Ave westbound between Albany and Vassar are nearly invisible, especially at the Albany St intersection. They were not restored after utility work last year.

Drivers going towards Boston (eastbound) on Mass Ave don't seem to realize there's only one lane, and often intrude on the westbound left turn lane. This is a huge collision risk.

  • 110 Fawcett St Cambridge, MA, 02138, USA - Cambridge
Fawcett street is home to hundreds of Cambridge residents, yet, the only parking available is either metered, or un-signed parking. The un-signed parking is constantly occupied by non-residents, including out of state vehicles and vehicles with no Cambridge parking permits on display. It makes parking for residents exceptionally difficult and very often, this results in illegal parking which leads to near accidents due to obstruction of vision on a daily basis. There are no 'Resident parking only' signs on displayed anywhere on this street. The placement of 'resident parking only' signs is certainly warranted on this street. Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
  • Cambridge St & Hampshire St Cambridge, MA, 02139, USA - Wellington-Harrington
Hi there, I'm really concerned about the safety at the Cambridge/Hampshire/Beacon intersection since the Cambridge St. outdoor dining one-way was put into place. I love the outdoor dining, but I'm noticing that both cars and pedestrians are taking risks they weren't taking before. I know this intersection is tough and human behavior is hard to predict.
In the last few days, I've seen many more cars trying to take left turns onto Cambridge and Antrim streets, even with the No Left Turn signage. I watched four bikers yesterday get caught in front of the bank in between two streams of cars with no way to continue safely. Stranded in the middle of the intersection until a pause in traffic.
With the left turn yield at Prospect and Hampshire being the only left turn onto Prospect now that Cambridge is closed, that traffic is now baking up Hampshire to Inman St., causing folks turning left onto Inman to get stuck between oncoming cars. I have no solutions to offer other than manning the intersection with an actual human traffic guide, or doing additional public education around following the traffic laws there. Thanks for listening!

What happened to the several large caliper trees providing shade at the Cambridge Library? I thought there was a tree moratorium? Was there a tree hearing? It seems a shame that these were removed and unlikely the city will replant with an equivalent caliper inches of trees at this small site.

Since the implementation of the shared street initiative, unfortunately, some pedestrians did not get the memo about yielding to others.

Twice this week I found myself on my way to or from my home, behind pedestrians who knew a car was coming up behind them (my car is not electric, one can definitely hear it coming) and did not move aside. In one case, the person even looked back, made eye contact and then started walking even slower just to spite.

I wasn't going to engage with either of these people, but seeing as how this kind of thing happened more than once, and I understand there have also been complaints from pedestrians about cars, perhaps it would benefit everyone to have a temporary traffic detail over there to explain "sharing" to those who have a harder time grasping the concept.

    Thank you.
