    Construction workers don't wear masks. Most of them wear hardhats, which do nothing to protect them from contracting the Covid19.

    Since last year, city of Cambridge commenced major construction work on Putnam ave. For the last six months, for eight to 10 hours a day, the drilling, hacking and other noise generated have been deafening and almost unbearable, and vibration from the activities caused items in my house to fall off the shelves.
    On many days, my wife and I - who are retired - have to get out of our home to escape the noise during the day. This incurs extra expenses on our part.
    We have also been psychologically affected and become more irritable as a result. I have personal projects that I cannot do at home because of the noise and vibration.
    Some homes have young children, some have school going children who study online, others have retirees, or work remotely, those who need quiet to survive the day.
    Current regulations are not sufficient to protect neighbors from such severe noise pollution and vibration.
    Can city of Cambridge review the current regulations for the good of those who might face the same plight in the future?

    I have a baby who is getting disturbed from the loud noise every day and also my mother is 71 yrs old and is a heart patient. She needs rest, the construction on Putnam ave been going on for two years at least. Also, there is a lot of dust from the construction of which my mom keeps coughing all night long.
    I am sorry to inform you that this is annoying and troubling us, please do something about it and take this matter seriously. I request the city of Cambridge help my family from the regular disturbance.

    This pothole is right in front of the entry to the garage over the sidewalk and is causing low-clearance vehicles pulling over the sidewalk into the garage to scrape on the sidewalk when the rear wheels pass through the elongated pothole.

    It would help us tremendously if we can have this filled in and evened off so we can save the bottoms of our cars.
