Notified About

  • Other City Services Acknowledged
19 Ambler Ln Oakland CA 94608, United States - Clawson
Excessive drug selling, use, prostitution, trash, graffiti, unsanitary conditions, noise issues and dangerous living conditions for residents - needles left all around to step on, broken glass, horrible! Numerous complaints - city has not done anything. Not even street sweeping on this block! Serious and dangerous problem
  • 350 63rd St Oakland, CA, 94618, USA - Fairview Park

Please make Hillegass a Slow Street!

I live on the corner of 63rd and Hillegass and we have a lot of foot traffic crossing here and at 62nd to get to the businesses on College Avenue. However, drivers routinely speed too fast down Hillegass and rarely come to a full stop (and some barely slow down) at the intersections, which are not marked for pedestrian crossing even though they are used heavily. The intersections at Alcatraz and Claremont are also dangerous for pedestrians.

This problem got significantly worse after the College/Claremont Safeway reopened and with driving apps like Google Maps and Waze directing drivers on to Hillegass in order to avoid College/Claremont slow down. Declaring Colby a Slow Street has been a boon to our neighborhood but unfortunately it has also forced some additional car traffic onto Hillegass, exacerbating the problem.

Please consider making Hillegass a Slow Street. It is a residential street that is being treated as a traffic artery by drivers to get from Claremont to Alcatraz and who are making it unsafe for people who live here and want to travel on foot or by bicycle.

  • 351 40th St Oakland, CA, 94609, USA - Mosswood

Debris, pieces of a burned rv (resulting from a fire inside the RV that broke out at 10am this morning), trash, and if you look beyond the 2 rvs, a car is actually parked on the sidewalk, Silver Infinity with Florida Tags.

The sidewalk is obviously impassable and dangerous.

  • 491 Bellevue Ave Oakland CA 94610, United States - Lake Merritt
The lake side of the street not only is fully parked while a “no parking” sign hangs on the lamp post, it is also double parked with unattended vehicles (love the repositioning of the traffic cones to accommodate the double parkers). Either follow through on the “give the lake a break” campaign plus the “slow street” program or don’t bother. Educate, warn, and cite. Don’t just issue statements of actions and then not follow through.
  • Sidewalk - Damage Acknowledged
550 Radnor Rd Oakland CA 94606, United States - Cleveland Heights
Not exactly sidewalk - a step on a steep rounded stairway has collapsed - right on the corner of Radnor and Cleveland Very dangerous Cannot be seen in dim light Makes one side of stairway extremely hazardous This should be addressed rapidly Safety hazard
  • Blake Dr Oakland CA 94603, United States - Elmhurst Park
    Abandoned vehicle
  • 1030 Pine St Oakland CA 94607, United States - Prescott Oakland Point
Homeless blocking sidewalk with all their stuff
  • Other City Services Acknowledged
600 Bellevue Ave Oakland CA 94606, United States - Lake Merritt
As of 7/19/2020 there is NO more outside dining. If our small businesses cannot even have a few socially distanced tables in a sidewalk, WHY are there large gatherings of people around the lake especially not following any protocols whatsoever! This IS a PANDEMIC not a festival. SHUT down the LAKE for everyone's well being. NOW.
  • 500–548 Spruce St Oakland CA 94606, United States - Cleveland Heights
This is the second major wreck at the intersection of Spruce St/7th Ave and Park Blvd in six days. There are way too many people speeding at often more than 2x the posted speed limit of 25 mph down lower Park Blvd, and many of these drivers also cross the double yellow lane into oncoming traffic along the curves and then drive through red lights. Please, please, PLEASE implement regular traffic enforcement along lower Park Blvd (at least upper Park Blvd has a median) as well as a high visibility enforcement operation. People are being injured and someone could easily die, and the City has done nothing to combat this problem in the 9+ years I've lived at this corner.
  • 6211 La Salle Ave Oakland, CA, 94611, USA - Montclair Business
this is a LARGE pothole at the first parking spot up lasalle. 4to 6 inches deep
  • 17044 Broadway Ter Oakland, CA, 94611, USA - Merriwood

HYDRANT LOCATOR: Missing reflective, raised, blue pavement marker in the centerline of public and private roadways perpendicular to the location of a fire hydrant.
Per amended City Fire Code 507.5.8 Hydrant Identification, this should be in place.

It has been missing since at least 2016, when I opened related SeeClickFix https://seeclickfix.com/issues/2195289 and attempted to follow up with a variety of people.

Please do NOT forward it to the Fire Department unless you can give me a trackable action when it's closed. That's what happened last time.

Given the number of fires in play right now, helping OFD find all the hydrants is the least we can do.

  • 1752–1798 11th St Oakland CA 94607, United States - Prescott Oakland Point
There were unhoused persons living in their car here. They have left. They've left a lot of waste in their wake. A lot. With raw food and so forth.
