Park Maintenance
, reported at 35803 Huntsville, AL, USA.
Please remove the gravel on the paved section of the greenway. Or please consider keeping a ticket open until the gravel can be removed from the Paved section of the greenway. Gravel on the paved section of the greenway can damage bicycles for example flat tires. Bicyclists can fall on gravel because road bikes slip on gravel. The gravel could also be damaging this already paved road on the greenway. Please see attached picture and video of concerned area. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro3COn3tyhg

City of Huntsville (Huntsville Connect) assigned this issue to Huntsville Parks and Recreation
This picture is of the same paved section of the greenway in June 2022, showing that there was not gravel on the paved section of the greenway.
I biked on that part of trail yesterday and agree with you. The city appears to be putting a base of gravel for a paved road around the lake (I hope). They could use a sweeper to keep the existing pavement clean as they work.

Today I biked on this same section (7/17/22). The gravel seems to have been removed on the concerned paved section of the greenway (see picture). I'm not sure if there will be continued removal. But this looked cleared and bikeable to me, thank you.
Much better, thank you!
Does anyone know what’s going on that the trees are being cleared?
