Buzzed by ABQ ride bus while riding bike in bike lane. Bus passed within 18" of handlebars at a speed that seemed higher than pored 35mph. ABQ ride probably needs to update transit drivers on laws protecting (supposedly) vulnerable road users>>>5 foot bicycle passing ordinance. Incident occurred @ 2:15pm, October 19, 2017 just east of ABQ high and west of freeway

Notes: ------- all drivers are trained on 5 foot law. lack of bus information makes this complaint impossible to follow up on. drivers are also trained on this law during defensive driving which is given every 4 years. defensive driving does have a bicycle safety portion. buses will be monitored for compliance. -------

Registered UserThe picture shows the bus information so do not accept "impossible to follow up on". The information including license plate and time of day has been provided. Perhaps training every 4 years is not enough and certainly when another road user is overtaken by a close passing bus there is an "issue" that needs attention.
