A pothole is starting to develop on the west side of an old patch job. It is in the middle lane heading north on I-215 about a quarter mile south of the 1700 N overpass. It is not too bad yet but I have seen people swerve to miss it and will only get worse if it is not fixed.
Thank you for submitting the information through the UDOT website however we are unable to be of assistance. UDOT only maintains state and federal roads like S.R. 68 (Redwood Road) and I-215. 700 North is under Salt Lake City's jurisdiction however manholes are the responsibility of the utility company. I would recommend contacting Salt Lake City for assistance, http://www.slcgov.com/slcmobile
The Salt Lake City Streets division investigated this report, but unfortunately they did not find any damage at this location. If the constituent has any other information to help locate this, we’d be happy to take another look.
It is on It is on 1400 North 1890 West (Mandalay Road)
Salt Lake City, UT 84116
The above is the exact street coordinates, but the GPS shows the wrong place.
I live at 1889 W. New York Drive (1405 North), the house on the South-East corner of the street. The curb and sidewalk problem are on the West side of my house, where the bus stops and that street is Mandalay. If you come out and can't see it, please call me at 801-707-0604 or 801-828-5003. Thanks so much!!!
A representative from the Streets Division revisited the area and found the damaged curb and gutter. They are able to provide the home owner a 50/50 concrete replacement estimate if they would like. (It is the only program available to fix these kinds of problems.) Please let me know if they would like to receive an estimate, or if any other information is needed.
Can two signs be added to the north and southbound stop signs that states that the westbound lane does not stop? Drivers assume that the westbound lane stops and I have had many near misses at this intersection due to this confusion.
Thank you for using SeeClickFix to report issues on the road! The road that you provided is actually owned by Salt Lake City, so it is not under UDOT jurisdiction. I have forwarded this information along to them, but if you would like to follow up, you can reach them at 801-535-2345.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write regarding a request for signage to be added to the north and southbound stop signs on 700 North and 2200 West. I apologize for our delay in response.
I have received word from our Transportation Division that they are proceeding to install signage on 2200 West indicating that westbound cross traffic on 700 North does not stop. Please do connect with the Transportation Division at 801-535-6630 with any additional questions or comments.
Thank you,
