1 73 Emerson St New Haven, CT 06515, USA
It seems after the old issue was "acknowledged" it was also forgotten. I just want to bring it up again because I think it is a very big safety issue and should be replaced before someone is seriously injured.
When the new traffic lights were put in at the intersection of Emerson and Whalley Ave they removed the No Turn on Red sign. It is nearly impossible to see oncoming traffic when turning from Emerson onto Whalley. I turn here numerous times per day and have seen too many people try to make that right hand turn onto Whalley and nearly get hit by traffic on Whalley Ave.
The photo attached is from being stopped behind the white line looking left. With those residential shrubs it’s impossible to know who is coming at you.
PLEASE replace this sign.
Forest And Fountain
Northbound on Forest Road, at the intersection with Fountain St, there is a problem with the traffic light.
Twice in the last week I have been stuck at the light. It cycles through the intersection multiple times without going green for northbound Forest Rd. (Three cycles for me today). These inevitably leads to drivers going through the intersection on a red light, which is obviously a safety issue. I don't know how often this happens, but twice in one week seems like more than a fluke.

1848 1932 Chapel St New Haven, CT 06515, USA
There is no better illustration of the excessive speeds on Chapel St than today's SUV rollover. Is it even possible to rollover going the 25mph speed limit?
NHPD and city government should be taking this seriously. 90% of drivers here actively ignore traffic laws, and it contributes to an atmosphere of lawlessness.
From 0645am to 1800pm, you could pull over someone every 5 minutes for excessive speed. Do it show us you actually care.· Reported by V · Flag Flagged
Edgewood Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USAPeople are driving aggressively down Edgewood Avenue once they cross Forrest. I witnessed a mother with an infant in the backseat being terrorized by another driver who was tailgating, honking and trying to swerve around them despite there being a lot of busy traffic. This speeding traffic leads right down to the Edgewood School and such aggressiveness is bound to result in something very bad. Police should be on the lookout and aggressive drivers should be punished!!
West Rock Avenue New Haven CTSpeeding is excessive! City needs to put in speed bumps, speed control signs, make the street one-way??? Something, before someone is killed.· Reported by M · Flag Flagged
Alden Ave And Woodbridge Ave New Haven, CTBecause there is no stop sign between the intersections of W Elm Street and Edgewood Ave on Alden Ave, cars and city buses consistently speed through this area, which has many young children and pedestrians. It would be helpful to put in a stop sign on Alden Ave at the corner of Woodbridge Ave or place speed humps along Alden.· Reported by Dana Schaffer · Flag Flagged
357-383 W Rock Ave New Haven, CTExcessive speeding to beat red light and to get up hill. Please put in speed humps. Residential neighborhood, heavily used park entrance, busy commercial corner and all this with highway speeds up and down. Someone will surely be killed before long if the city doesn't address this block.
