Thanks! Thanked!19th St & Chestnut St Wilmington, NCThe 4 way stop sign at the corners of 19th St & Chestnut St must be invisible or merely a 'suggestion' to stop. At least 50% of vehicles blow through this intersection without stopping; some at a high rate of speed. Annie Snipes Elementary is a block up the street and numerous children have had near misses with these stop sign runners. It's obviously much worse during the school year since the traffic on Chestnut St significantly increases along with these near misses of school kids, dog walkers, joggers from the park, etc....
Forget the ridiculous red light cameras(some corp. gets most of the ticket $$ anyway!!), routinely and randomly station a real police officer to write REAL revenue generating tickets to these bad drivers before a school kid gets run down or install a speed hump (like the next block has!!) on Chestnut betwn 18th and 19th to slow cars down before this stop sign before a tragedy happens. The revenue from tickets could fund this speed bump or fund fixing that big old mess called Third Street downtown.
426 Clear Brook Dr Wilmington, NC 28409, USAthis neighborhood is becoming a highway for speeders using this as a cut through for Greenville and Oleander Dr. There are many kids riding bikes on these curvy roads and speeding cars can't see them in time. We need more stop signs or speed bumps ASAP!!! My son went to the ER last week because he wrecked his bike trying to get out of the way of a speeding car!!!! What is it going to take?· Reported by Deborah Clark · Flag Flagged
Park Ave Wilmington, NC 28403, USAPark Ave between Hinton Ave and Greenville Road, this road is very hazzardous. People are avoiding dips and holes and by doing this they have to swerve and basically drive on the wrong side of the road. In the past 6 years of driving on this road, I have replaced a front end on one car already and I have another one that needs replaced. This road is also dangerous for motorcycles. Not to mention, walkers twist their ankles! The city has painted right over the dips and bumps. Please help us smooth this road out.· Reported by Rose Freifeld · Flag Flagged
3300-4098 Randall Pkwy Wilmington, NC 28403, USAI work in one of the offices of of Randall parkway and the speeding on that road is excessive. There is a tremendous amount of traffic pulling onto and off of Randall especially around the area where the office complexes are. There is also a school located in this area and parents are tring to drop off and pick up their children. People walk on this road, Geese are constanly crossing and today I saw that someone had hit one of the goslings. This wouldn't have happened if people would go the appropriate 35 speed limit. Gees do not run out in front of you so you have to be speeding to hit one that is in the road. I have also witnessed a few close calls of a car hitting a car because people are speeding. I am constantly be tailgated because I go the speed limit and I think it is only a matter of time until someone hits me. Please fix this speeding problem! Speed bumps would be a great solution!· Reported by Melissa · Flag Flagged
622 Pine Valley Dr Wilmington, NC 28412For years residents on our st.have requested speed bumps. Now we are told they can't afford it. (no reason why
others got them earlier)
Many times due to numerous request from different residents on our short st
we have had the "speed monitor". When
it is seen drivers do slow down-but then
We now have a growing population of
young children and it is frighting. I think
many who live elsewhere are excited to get to the Pine Valley Country Club or must think they are still on College Rd??
We have even offered the city that we would take a collection to buy the speed
bumps,but they say no.
Please help us. It is very frustrating and
Our Street is only 2 blocks from College
Rd.(by the fire station) to the Pine Valley CC. Imagine a car
up to 55 miles an hour-it's like a race.We
need action before someone is killed, and
regrets won't mean a thing.
Please help us.

College Acres Drive And Racine Drive
very difficult to cross Racine Drive via College Acres Drive, because of high traffic volume and heavy pedestrian traffic,
solution: a roundabout, and or speedbumps on Racine Drive to slow traffic down,
and a bridge for pedestrians to cross over College Acres Drive· Reported by Anonymous · Flag Flagged
