Descrição
The tree in the public space tree box area between the sidewalk and the street has been severely damaged at its base. There is heavy construction happening at the SE corner of 10th and H Street NE almost across the street from this location so it looks like this was done by the construction team's heavy machinery, which is often parked right next to this tree. Please do all you can to save this tree as it greatly adds to the shade and beauty of our street. Thank you.

LOSS OF BARK AT ROOT FLARE IS A SERIOUS WOUND, BUT NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO REPAIR IT. CONSTRUCTION PROJECT HAS THE MINIMUM TREE PROTECTION IN PLACE AROUND THE LARGE TREE, EAST SIDE, NORTH END OF BLOCK.
