Snow Piles are being picked up throughout the City on a continuous basis. We will get to this when we are able. There are approximately 600 piles in cul-de-sacs in GP.
I would also like to comment on the Citizen Contact Center response. When I read the response sent to me I really felt like I was being "blown off". I have had a few interactions with the response centre and even though everyone has been very pleasant I don't feel confident that the concerns expressed are being tracked or dealt with by the department that should be made aware of the issue. When a specific department gets calls from citizens regarding a particular issue I believe they take note. With the new system I don't think they are always notified. From your response I am guessing they will never even know I expressed a concern.
Linda, all issues reported through the Contact Centre are logged and tracked by Transportation Services. In this case, it may have been that crews had to divert from the area for a higher priority item and/or equipment breakdowns could have been a factor. In any case, crews are still picking up piles throughout the city and this can take some time. The response provided was not meant to be a 'blow off' and this can be the downfall of Social Media is that tone is not included with the texts sometimes. We do appreciate your patience. All Departments work very closely with the Citizen Contact Centre and the Citizen Contract Centre has been an excellent hub for communications for all of us. You can have complete confident in staff at this centre.
