Thank for this info. Because no one is out of power it it probably a communication or TV cable. We will check it out to verify and let you know.

This is a Fairpoint cable. We will notify them.

Thanks for passing that on, but I think I may not have been clear about what sort of cable I saw that was broken. It is not one of the power or communications cables that run from pole to pole. It is a support cable or guy wire that provides diagonal support to the pole; note how the broken piece on the ground has a yellow plastic cover on it.

Yes, you were clear.... but we have also visited the location several times. A car hit the guy wire. Fairpoint has been made aware.... I have sent them the photo you supplied, which by the way, is greatly appreciated.
