2 Hexblocks!!! Oh My!!!Sorry for the sarcasm. Have you walked around the neighborhood lately? ALL OUR HEXBLOCK SIDEWALKS are in trouble. It's a complex issue. Unless WE in the neighborhood start taking action, these historic sidewalks are going to become history. The City is not likely to do anything on its own to resolve the issue. In the meantime, people will trip & fall down & sustain injuries, Mothers will be pushing their strollers down the streets, & disabled people who use walking aids will not be walking here. IF you are interested in addressing the problem, maybe start by contacting your council person for this neighborhood; I did. The newly elected Lisa Wheeler-Brown ran on the platform of "neighborhood". Lets see if talk translates to action. I'm waiting for my callback. You can call the mayors action line and also inquire there. Jump up & down, start yelling! Join the Neighborhood Assoc. But; If you want real results, dig in & get to work.. Invite your neighbors to back you. Offer to help the homeowner to level the blocks. Ask the City about Grant Money.
