This is an ongoing parking problem. Even though the Yale hockey season is over, people are still parking illegally in resident spots for youth hockey events.

It's not really a university issue. It's a police issue, the worst parking problems of the season happen when the police and firefighters play.

This issue is absolutely still ongoing. Friday night was the Yale vs Quinnipiac game and as usual there was no parking enforcement so it was impossible to find a place to park with our groceries. Ended up double parking to do that since even bus stops and other illegal spaces were full and almost got in trouble with the police for doing it. This is absurd.

There will be addtional Parking Enforcement Officers sent out to patrol these areas, beginning on January 16th. Thank you for posting your concerns.

Despite the post from the department of transportation, traffic and parking, this issue is not resolved. Tickets were issued at one game during the season, which is grossly insufficient. An officer showed up at a second game to give a ticket to a car parked in front of a fire hydrant, but refused to ticket the remaining dozens of illegally parked cars.

Will ticketing begin? Hockey games are starting again.

Ticketing of vehicles due to illegal parking during hockey games will resume this year.
