Thank you for reporting this issue. An internal work order, # 28521, has been generated and sent to the Water, Sewer, Drain Department to assess and take the necessary action(s) as soon as possible. An update will be posted as information from the crew becomes available.
The water department has gone down and looked at this issue and we are not seeing any catch basin for drainage, not saying there is not one there. With all the trucks and debris, it could be covered. We also observed what looked like a drain pipe from the house that sits on Coolage St routed out the back of their property and it comes out right where that puddle forms. So that could be contributing to the problem of the standing water. We can work with engineering to see if we can alleviate this problem.
Thank you city of Revere for the prompt response. The issue was researched in the passed 7 years however no solution has been implemented. What concerns me is the fact that Elmwood ave is a short street with owner occupied homes, if I calculate the taxes paid by everyone on the street over the past 5 years we have enough to fix the issue of the puddle and beyond. I have informed in the past that it would be on next years fiscal budget for the city 5 years ago and when I checked it was not. Kindly respond to my comment and what is the propose solution?
Another glaring example of the City kicking the can down the road on important issues that should have been addressed years ago!! perhaps the Mayor can allot funds for these repairs out of his own salary...and folks wonder why Revere has such a reputation amongst other neighboring communities.
I have lived on this street for a long time and there is no drains on this street. Each time a house is built the contractors should of or the city should of had installed drains for this street. There need some gravel placed across street until the city can install the catch basins
