Description

M-43 in both directions has many potholes and disintegration near the curb/ gutter from approx. St. Martha's church's east property line all the way to the intersection of Cornell Rd., then from Dobie and Grand River all the way past Okemos Rd. to the collapsing section near the intersection with Hamilton Rd. The 2 intersections, Okemos and Marsh Rd. are extremely rough even rough for motor vehicles much less bicycling which is what I do regularly along Grand River. I've seen some signs of limited pothole filling by hand shovels; the damage I'm observing up close and personal really needs skip paving particularly in the intersections which are more prone to crashing. I don't believe that these repairs can wait til 2023 for the planned major repairs.

Additionally, there are many manhole covers along this section of M-43 that are 2-3 inches lower than the adjacent roadway creating hazards for all road users. A couple were fixed the last time I reported these but many remain in both directions. Thank you for the consideration.
