Description
Traffic signal at Forest and Fountain isn't turning green in the Forest direction, leading to a long backup in traffic, and a dangerous situation as cars turning off of Forest are forced to turn right or left on a red light. Needs to be fixed immediately.

This light works perfectly fine when DRIVERS use this intersection correctly by pulling up to the scanning sensor.
The problem isnt the light - its the drivers who either dont pull up to the line or more often then not, pull up way past the line, thus the sensor cant scan to see that there is traffic waiting to turn. I live in this block area and use this intersection faithfully. I have had no problems what so ever because I follow the rules.

Bump....
E,
I know the "pull up appropriately to the scanner" trick. Which I agree is annoying when some folks don't know the trick.
However, since the city did construction and put in new lights, the intersection timing has been way off. It would be nice if the city could make some updates to the timing of the lights.
Thanks

Yes Fountain & Forest are State roads. However since the signal controller upgrade, NH now controls the signals at this complex intersection. City's Signal Engineer has done a lot of tweaking but can always do more. All the new camera detectors can be adjusted as can all the signal timing, remotely from the control center at 200 Orange. Also, the engineer can monitor the traffic via these detector cams (they do NOT record) and also via a remote controllable "ball" camera they installed here knowing that this intersection is complex and has issues.
It would be great and helpful if folks can be as SPECIFIC as possible with issues for the Signal Engineer to assess and/or remedy. Worth noting: the timing is completely different than it was before the new controller. I have been told not to compare it to the old way but to identify specific complaints and/or problems as clearly as possible. I know that the City's Signal Engineer will work on anything submitted.
I'm closing this because the description of "isn't changing" is too vague. But please post specific descriptions of any issues.
