We called DeKalb County Code Enforcement officer Connie Stokes and left a voicemail again today. We've witnessed neighborhood children actually playing in and near the dumpster that is full of illegally dumped material, including old computer parts, rusty metal, glass, and other hazardous materials. The house and dumpster continue to attract unwanted attention. Our complaint number with the county is 84909.

After months of calls and complaints, the dumpster has been removed. We came home to find it gone the other week. We do not know if the county was involved in the dumpster being removed. From end to end, the dumpster was at the house from September 2010 to June 2011, 9 months.

The house was put on the market in roughly July 2011. Nothing has been done about the fire damage and the tarps that were put on the roof in September 2010 have tattered and the holes in the roof are exposed to the elements.

"Argument is the worst sort of conversation."

The dumpster was removed, we think after the county acknowledged the issue, approximately 3 monts ago. I am closing the issue as resolved however opening a separate and related issue for the house remaining abandoned and unlivable (should be condemned).
