Maybe unrelated, but similar set-up occurred two years running with my front yard tree. Rogers guy came in the fall both years, strung cable through the branches of two trees including mine (starting from house 3 doors to my right and running to house 2 doors to my left), returning in the spring both years to take it down. Caught him putting it back up the third year, took a photo and asked if I needed to call his employer. Haven't had an issue since. Does cable company know?
