When recycling is picked up in your neighborhood & they don't take yours especially when they look inside you are following guidelines
- all recycling items are to be loose in the cart
- All types of plastic bags regardless of it says made of recycling material are unacceptable. .
-Review the educational guide shown in the photo of some common unacceptable recycling items
- Make sure there is no food or oil residue on or in the recycling item or any liquids in the bottles
- Review the label on top of the recycling cart for more common unacceptable recycling items.
-Make sure all cart lids are completely closed, especially because if the cardboard boxes ever get wet or have gotten wet at one time , the cardboard is useless since water deteriorates the pulp fibers
- Only recycling items within the cart are considered for recycling
