Mayor Elicker is raising taxes 6%, increasing spending $27 million, and adding 25 employees to the City payroll. The tax increase comes despite a cash windfall of $100 million from the Feds, a $49 million increase in State PILOT funds, and a $10 million increase in Yale contributions.
Please join me in saying NO to Mayor Elicker’s tax increase.

With the hold on evictions possibly being rescinded this January, I really think it should be extended.
I think this is a good time to consider what they're proposing in some progressive states. To give , redirect all Eviction court fees and fines to a not for profit, charity or homeless shelter, better yet, give it to Statewide Legal Services..This might also reduce nonsensical evictions.

Litter lining the sidewalks and street. If we could all do our part to keep the sidewalks and street in front of our homes clean, it would make a huge difference. I went for a walk on this beautiful day and I couldn't help but notice the debris, empty bottles, and trash that lined the road and even in bushes.

Let's make our city beautiful, it starts with us.

10-170 Quinnipiac Ave needs to be repaved completely as there are potholes (large and small) everywhere. Some of the holes have been filled at different times but this portion of Quinnipiac Ave, which is the beginning of Quinnipiac Ave across from Griswold Triangle Memorial Park, has never been repaved completely. Although, other locations along Quinnipiac Ave have.

    Hi,

8 High Street construction is still going on during this pandemic. There are over 20 workers on-site every day and none of them wear masks.
The construction starts at 7 am and ends at 4 pm Monday to Friday. A lot of tenants who live in the crown tower and crown court are doctors and nurses. Some of them work night shifts. We've heard them saying that they can't rest at all during the day even after long hours of night shifts.

Also, many of us are Yale staff who work from home these days but because of the loud noise from the construction, we can't fully concentrate on the work.
Some tenants even leave their apartments for hours during the day just to escape from the noise. This is very dangerous because they might expose themselves to COVID-19. We had reported this issue to the New Haven Tower management but heard nothing back from them. The management team doesn't live in this building so they don't care.

We hope that the New Haven governmental offices will help us. Thank you very much. Stay healthy and safe.
