There is construction going on under the 52 bridge that cuts off a section of sidewalk that goes to the traffic signal further down the street towards St. Paul. We are not allowed to walk through the construction and therefore have to cross a very busy street- especially at rush hour times. It can take upwards of ten minutes for a gap in the cars-especially in the morning. There is a sign that notes that this is supposed to be a crosswalk, but drivers either don't see it or don't care. It would be great if we could get some kind of traffic control at this juncture until the sidewalk is finished by the construction crew. This is a major inlet for people living in the neighborhoods over the Kellogg bridge, and is also quite inconvenient for commuters that park and have to walk into St. Paul.
    Thanks

They installed bollards yesterday. Now vehicles are driving into oncoming EB traffic to get into Starbucks. Vehicles are using the bike lane to queue for the drive-thru. Vehicles are making dangerous u-turns at each end of the bollard line.

Very poor crossing safety. High speeds, little respect of pedestrians. While I am out w my child in a stroller, cars will speed up and force me back onto the sidewalk.

Paint the crosswalk, put the crosswalk signage back up, or do some enforcement.

Significant numbers of speeders and avoiding, not even slowing for stop sign Dayton/Aldine - many kids out - not safe...many concerned parents...
  • 377 Dayton Avenue Saint Paul, Minnesota - Summit-University
This intersection should have a 4-way stop. Coming from Dayton to cross or turn onto Western is VERY dangerous, as it is difficult to see vehicles coming along Western Ave N. I regularly see near-accidents, and feel unsafe as a driver when turning or crossing. Also as a pedestrian, since drivers on Western Ave N. aren't required to stop, and pedestrians end up waiting awhile.

    Detour Signs Fell

Signs for detour have fallen and are now a tripping/injury hazard, especially for someone with vision problems or gait issues.

  • 855-887 South Charlton Street Saint Paul, Minnesota - West Side
St Paul needs to work with West St Paul to finally get this intersection resolved. Turn it into a stop-lighted intersection or a roundabout, but a six-way stop where vehicles legally stopped at a stop sign can't see all 5 other stop-locations is unacceptable. So many near-accidents and daily frustration to commuters.
Also, when I am a pedestrian or bicyclist, I avoid this intersection at all costs. Too dangerous.

The Starbucks drive-thru has been creating unsafe driver behavior for over a year now. The new bollards are encouraging drivers to drive into oncoming traffic to access the parking lot. Please revoke the drive-thru CUP before someone is seriously hurt or killed.

  • 277 Ruth Street North Saint Paul, Minnesota - Battle Creek
The intersections along Ruth st southbound, south of 94 (Suburban and Burns, as well as business parking lot entrances) need better signage for the bike lane. Drivers routinely cut off cyclists by turning right in front of them, which leads to near accidents ("right hooks"). I saw this happen twice today, one time the cyclist narrowly missed being run over by a driver. Is there some kind of signage that could be put up? Maybe "yield to bikes" or something? This is a very dangerous situation, especially with all of he construction going on nearby on 94 and McKnight

Signs remain outside and unused for months. Should they be put away? 100 people daily use the dog park by these eyesores.
  • 661-697 Ruth Street North Saint Paul, Minnesota - Battle Creek
There are traffic cones left on both west & east sidewalks of Ruth left over from putting in the crossing lights last month. Please send some one to pick them up!
  • 483-509 Pascal Street North Saint Paul, MN 55104, USA - Midway
The intersection of Sherburne and Pascal is a mess, especially with increased traffic from University (including busses and law enforcement). All day and night I hear horns and squealing tires because of poor visibility (especially if people are parked too close to corners), people coming too fast from the University side, and too narrow streets (Pascal shouldn't have parking on both sides). Please consider changing the parking situation or adding a four-way stop.
