City of Lansing PLUS

home owner/tenant regularly does not put trash and recycle bins away.

Rental property next door is accumulating too much along the side yard. This is the view from my backyard deck. Warmer weather is coming. Anticipating the stench this will produce. TRASH NEEDS TO GO!!

Back Deck is being used as a garbage dump, trash and old boxspring. Spoke to owner and property manager over a month ago and was reassured this would not be happening any longer. We have had issues with rats/rodent already now we have new residents in this home that refuses to take care of their trash, they say granger told them it would be 6-8 weeks to get a dumpster and that was a month ago, We all know it does not take this long to get one. This has been reported already last month and nothing has been done yet. Unacceptable that the city allows this to happen.

This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've complained about this house and I know I'm not the only one!

Lansing Housing Commission owns this rental and I have complained to them. There is consistently junk, furniture, trash in this back yard for over a year. Most of the time the grass is long except she mowed a patch recently to BBQ!

Not sure how many people live there but there are many. If the Lansing Housing Commission does not or will not enforce rules Tenants are to follow, my hope is the City of Lansing will and perhaps request they look into this Tenant seriously this time,

Dumpster, and garbage bags constantly on the front curve.
Please advise to remove those from property front on days when there is no garbage collection services.
Please help keep the neighborhood nice.

Multiple bag garbage bags in front of house for more than one month

This gentleman is a hoarder/junk yard operator. I have owned my home since 2005 and in those 10 years I have seen the matter grow from a back yard only to now having disabled vehicles, appliances, remodeling materials, scrap materials surrounding the home going all the way to the city sidewalk. He has had to move his dog houses closer to the street as he's losing space for them to move about. This home is a complete eyesore to the entire street that has actually been getting revived in the past year. With the new development happening at the School for the blind site it would be beneficial for the surrounding areas to be properly patrolled and codes enforced to help encourage growth in that area.

* Update - Drove past the home on 5/17/2015. They have acquired more junk, obviously the City isn't doing anything about this matter. Thank you City of Lansing for backing the tax payers and those that invest in the City so you continue to have a job. Correction - address was a guess as the debris blocks and sight of the address, actual address is 1521 Lansing Ave.

We have reported 1003 for drug dealing to the landlord he didn't believe us and the tenants confronted us. We don't feel safe contacting the landlord about the trash issue. Previously they would throw their trash in our garbage without permission we placed cameras around our home so they stopped that. Now they're collecting bags in their garage. Yesterday they removed them sprayed them with airspray and put them back in the garage. We are afraid that their garbage will attract pests to the neighborhood. They've been renting there a year and has never had garbage service.
