    Longstanding water/sewer issue reported months ago to City of Homewood and Jefferson Co (sewer) still unresolved with subfreezing temps expected for several days next week. My husband has made repeated calls to the City of Homewood as well as Jefferson Co in the event it was related to the sewer system. Approximately two months ago a crew came out and went down on the manhole and spray painted multiple colors on the road to mark the utilities and we were optimistic that the issue would be repaired. At that time it was a small amount of water seeping up from the asphalt. Fast forward approximately two months later and no repairs have been made and the amount of water now present at all times is puddling. Numerous vehicles are parked curbside overnight on Roseland in this specific area and this is a major thoroughfare in Edgewood, especially school traffic to and from Edgewood Elementary. With subfreezing temps now expected overnight 1/15-1/17, this is going to be an issue. There have already been several mornings recently where I’ve lost traction backing out of our drive since this issue sits at the foot of our driveway, so I can only imagine with harsher temps projected in the 20s just how ice this stretch will be. Please help and prioritize this issue!

    45 days ago, the garbage truck broke the wooden stand of the mailbox. The residents have tried multiple times to get ahold of someone at AmWaste to see if they can fix their mailbox. Can AmWaste do something for their mailbox?

    Amwaste Route Manager just closed my Issue ID 16044464 without giving an actual answer or proposing a solution.

    My original post was moved from General Comments to Garbage/Trash Miss, this is not a garbage miss. This is a contractor performance issue. Amwaste operators are causing damage to bricks along my driveway, as they reach for cans that are off the street (and not intended for them to pick up anyway).

    If there's another place to submit this type of issue, please let me know. I'd prefer not to have to track down someone by phone at Amwaste.

    Neither crosswalk sign is flashing anymore to help people be aware and the sign that was in the road was never put back.This is a hazard for adults and of course for children.Someone almost ran into me crossing with my dogs completely ignoring the signs.
