Traffic Concernsمفتوح1705 Murchison Dr Burlingame 94010, United States - BurlingameThere’s mass confusion on Murchison because the lanes are so wide and undefined. People are forming two confusing and shifting lanes approaching the stop signs at Murchison and Magnolia. It’s the same in the opposite direction. How many lanes are people supposed to queue in? It causes confusion and anger to drivers at the Stop sign. And pedestrians have an impossible time crossing the street despite the crosswalks.

Street Lightتم إقراره755 California Dr Burlingame 94010, United States - BurlingameThis street is already so dark at night. This is the only light on this side of California. But the last accident (caused by the bike lanes?) took down this light pole. If it’s not replaced soon, there will be more accidents.

Signتم إقراره1-99 Lorton Ave Burlingame, CA, 94010, USA - BurlingameThis intersection is incredibly dangerous for Burlingame residents that try to cross Peninsula in the crosswalk. I’ve been almost hit by a car, once a car skidded to a stop an inch from me as it was racing to catch the light at Peninsula and El Camino. Even putting an officer there a few days a week might help drivers obey pedestrian crosswalk laws.

Traffic Concernsتم إقرارهBellevue Ave & El Camino Real Burlingame, CA, 94010, USA - Burlingame
I am resident of San Jose, CA, and had to visit Burlingame for an appointment. Google map funneled us from 280 via Bellevue Ave across El Camino towards our destination. Both myself (25+ yrs safe driving experience) and my son (new driver) found crossing El camino on Bellevue Ave both ways was very unsafe. There is just stop sign on Bellevue, and given traffic conditions it is hard to find all 4 El Camino lanes empty for safe crossing.
On our way back i.e. going west on Bellevue (from downtown to 280 direction), the El Camino crossing challenge is even harder. When we stopped at stop sign due to large trees on sidewalk we could not see North bound traffic on El camino to start our crossing. We have to keep guessing and take our chances to start the El Camino crossing. Another issue is that the amount of El camino driver can see here is so small that there is no enough time to check both sides are clear to start the crossing at El camino's avg traffic speed.
We did the crossing, but it was so dreadful that we missed the cars on El Camino by few inches and luckily did not end-up in T-boning car.
It would be great if city can look into making this intersection safer. Few options or combinations -
1. add signal - this intersection is small so not sure is that best option
2. clear trees on side walk at this intersection so that it can increase visibility
3. Ban El camino crossing on Bellevue Ave, and allow only right turns on El camino in both directions with clear traffic signs
4. I am sure city traffic experts would have better solutionsThought of sharing our experience to avoid accident in the city. Happy to support further follow-up as needed.

Traffic Concernsتم إقرارهBurlingame Ave & Rollins Rd Burlingame, CA, 94010, USA - BurlingameWhen coming down eastbound on Burlingame Ave to turn north on Rollins Rd there is difficulty turning left (northbound Rollins) since large utility trucks park at the corner and make it impossible to see incoming traffic. Additionally cars drive fast on Rollins. I request that the red curb be extended on both sides of Rollins flanking Victoria Rd / Burlingame Ave to allow for better visibility. Additionally a mirror on the sound wall facing Victoria Rd / Burlingame Ave may also help.
