City of Burlingame PLUS

Hello,

I am writing to express my concern regarding the intersection of Vancouver and Adeline in Burlingame. This is a high volume and speed area year round, but especially during school when parents are rushing to get their kids to Mercy High School. The problem is compounded by a sharp curve that limits view as one drives past Vancouver on Adeline towards Mercy.

I am hoping this intersection could be evaluated for either a speed bump or stop sign for public safety.
The police apparently agree with me as I inadvertently sent this request to traffic and they have given multiple citations since seeing my request.

I am not sure what department handles this but if you could send to engineering that would be greatly appreciated.

Walking from the new parking structure via highland to Howard and California there is a crosswalk right outside the restaurant (Tomokasi) and I have seen a few near misses. I wanted to recommend adding the blinking signals that notify traffic a pedestrian is crossing.
It’s very hard for cars driving from west to east (on Howard) to see pedestrians as there is a parking spot blocking their view.
Please look into this before a resident of Burlingame gets hurt please and thanks.

Drivers keep stopping well into the crosswalk at Broadway at Rollins. Please add a stop line before the crosswalk.

The lights illuminating the US Flag at the Caltrain Station are burned out. Please replace those spotlights to properly display the US Flag after sunset.

corner restaurant is storing items onto the sidewalk including gas cans and boxes

Everyday at 3pm, parents park on the red curb by the exit driveway of Franklin. This blocks view for the cars exiting making a left uphill. We cannot see on coming traffic due to the car on the red curb.

Buckled pavement, damaged curb, faded parking lines.

The removal of the trees on the 1st Base side of Bayside #1 has created an unsafe condition

When foul balls go in that direction vehicles and pedestrians are now at risk of getting hit more frequently

The City should put up a net and or put up signs indicating that when games/practices are being played at that field there is a risk of getting hit by foul balls

This needs to be addressed in the near future

We paid millions of dollars for this bike lane. But the contractor scraped up the brand new asphalt so now there are ridges and ruts in the bike lane even though it's only a few weeks old. These are going to be a problem. Either the contractor messed up or the tree-cutting contractor messed up and now it's leaving the city holding the bag. Please get this fixed before these people just walk away. This is our money.

Fallen leaves blocking pedestrian walkway. hazardous! Resident non-compliant with property ownership/renter requirements. must be address to clear pedestrian walkway ASAP!
