Description

Numerous potholes in this alley that sees a lot of vehicle and foot traffic. It was patched a couple years ago but that has since failed.

This need to be fixed. Here we are trying to attract people to Topeka. Hence hyper code enforcement, Yet in this is what the alleys look like? Behind where we want to people to congregate, the downtown area. If we can't afford mill and overlay, just do the reliable chip and tar.

As someone who works in one of the nearby buildings and uses this alley on a daily basis, we would really appreciate these potholes being fixed. Not only are they super deep and treacherous for cars, even those with a higher lift, but they are also a hazard for pedestrians, especially in the rain or ice.

I report this 1/28/2021 via SCF. See item 9265805 It currently has 32 "comments/entries" by either the City of Topeka or by myself. Zach I hope you have better luck than I have had with this "major" issue. Anyone missing a Smart Car should check the holes in this alleyway.

we apologize for the delay in getting this alley patched. We had our night crew conduct a bunch of patching there last night and we hope it is an improvement from its previous state. We know it's not in good condition but we will continue to keep it serviceable until the alley can be fully reconstructed as is needed. if you have any questions please call 368-3803.
