Tonight as my husband and I had a picnic in our yard with our 4 month old twins we heard a sickening loud noise followed by the sound of a car speeding down the road. As we went to the road to investigate we saw that a “no parking” sign had been completely run over (see attached photo) and my heart broke to think how easily one of the families from our neighborhood could have been hit by yet another negligent driver. Just yesterday someone veered two feet into the shoulder while I was walking my twins and I hardly had time to push the stroller out of the way.

It is also my understanding that my neighbors have also written letters of concern to the city after their own harrowing experiences.

Please, as the summer traffic increases in our area, I ask that safety measures be implemented as soon as possible.
