the tree has been reported before. repeatedly. city still does nothing. city had cleared only part of the broken sidewalk and had reportedly stated they would be back to replace the sidewalk. that was a few YEARS ago. The tree is also a dangerous hazard. I have not only seen the branches falling, I was almost hit when I was walking the dog! this is a neighborhood of much older citizens and if one of these falling limbs were to fall on them, they might not survive. the elderly do tend to break easily. the homeowner that lives closest to the tree is contantly picking up branches etc. The tree is a danger. cut it down.

During this last storm, this same tree dropped branches on my car. when I went out to move them, I was knocked to the ground by more branches! I got scratches, nothing more. THen of course, the tree lost a bare branch that hit my smokestack (from a free standing fireflace that is no longer here) and kncked it lose so that water POURED into the house. During that storm, I had to climb up in th attic to fix this situaion that should not have happened. By the way, I waited and waited for your people to come cut up the branches. They hadnt by Thursday so I cut them up. You, the city, owe me $50 for this. I will continue to charge for removal of tree debris at $50 PER INCIDENT. I expect to be paid immediately. Now, how about getting rid of this tree? Its way past time.

Sidewalk has been coming up from that tree for over 10 years-----and has been reported for just as many years

I hope everyone knows this site is NOT sponsored by the city. If you have a beef with a tree, call the City's forestry department. THEY are the ones that can help, not this made up tattletale site.

@deadpirate. I HAVE talked to these people. They do nothing. Have contacted them repeatedly and the tree still menaces the population.

well guess what everyone? This freakin tree dropped a massive branch on me, hitting my shoulder and neck and head. I am not sure but I think I was knocked out for a few minutes. I was unconscious for an unknow amount of time. Thank you nameless samaritan who awakened me and made sure I was ok. He returned later and cut and took the tree.

still there, sidewalk faling apart and i saw an old manstir on that freaking sidewalk and fall. good think I am a nurse AND was looking out the window.who know how long h would have beenthere. Checked him out completely, his pride washurt the worst. and he said if I helped him up he was sure he could walk. I did. he walked just fine. poor guy

as for the tre... I now have over $600 dollars damage from this tree on my car. TOLD the city, TOLD Forestry, TOLD EVERYONE I could think of, so i guess the city willwait until someone is killed or breaks bones before they look at this tree.

tree still causing problems! roots have broken into sewer pipe and causes basement flooding. several times now I have had a plumber out. This tree is costing me money I simply do not have! City of Rockford, get rid of this tree!
