This whole intersection is terrible and needs to be redesigned. It can no longer handle the traffic flow for the area and is a cause for major congestion

if this is the yield before the whole area turns into rt. 9, I have the solution. YIELD !!!! I am so sick of people coming to the yield and completely ignoring it. You should slow down and look, if there are cars coming you have to stop and wait. Better yet, when there is huge traffic if every car let one car go the traffic would flow and move along. Learn to drive correctly and we won't have these problems.

absolutely, learn to yield AND learn to be fair! when traffic is HEAVY, use the one and one and one system (one from each lane, alternatively) -- otherwise the cars coming down route nine, to the yield sign, will NEVER get to move thanks to the timing of the lights.
