A couple months ago I was driving over the bridge into Linwood and the truck in front of me dislodged a huge slab of concrete that I couldn't avoid. Unfortunately it cracked the undercarriage of my vehicle. I called the marcus hook police when I got home and told them. I guess I'm going to have to pay for the damage myself.....

This issue was reported and has been complained about since I came to live in Lower Chichester which is going on 10 yrs. now. No one is making any effort to do something about the bridge! I saw pictures that someone took on facebook showing a stack of wood actually bracing a part of this bridge. I have to cross the bridge every day to take the train to work and it scares me that one day the bridge is going to totally collapse. I won't cross the span if a tractor trailer is going over at the same time.
