  HELLO, This is truly dangerous more in winter since steep slope, starts at center and is steep, not seen by photos. The ground must be built back up for width of sidewalk, to move slope closer to street, if its true Salem don't replace granite curbing anymore or if curb cant be replaced right away. This issue is a constant concern, requires more salting (worse w/ snow rain mix, overnight freeze) and very slippery while shoveling, also (as mentioned) difficult for a snow-thrower, since bumpy. I see sidewalk issues everywhere being resolved quickly, while this issue is "acknowledged" tho has been reported years ago. Is there another procedure for reporting this type of sidewalk problem please mention if so.

  Thank you for reporting this sidewalk issue. The Department of Public Services maintains a listing of reported sidewalk defects around the City and prioritizes them based on relative severity and public safety. Concrete sidewalk repairs can be limited due to weather constraints.

  What does it take to get this sidewalk fixed? This was reported in 2016 yet the sidewalk next door to me, had no issues (as seen by SAVED screenshots and screen video of google map) AND the city did pave over a section on my private property to cover up the property boundary marker /stake. I'm still waiting for repair to the bad section of my sidewalk very dangerous for me (with bad hip and bad knees) causing trouble for me clearing snow and in icy conditions.

  We have inspected the sidewalk for repair and have placed this repair on our list. We will do our best to complete repair as soon as possible. With that said we currently have a high volume of sidewalk repairs on our list, which will affect our ability to complete this request this year.
