Deskripsyon

All up and down Regent Street there are at least 15 to 25 potholes. These potholes are now a safety concern as the road is used daily by school bus, police, fire and ambulances. As soon as you turn into Regent St. from Fisher St. you can't even drive your vehicle around the potholes anymore because there are so many. Short term the potholes need to be addressed and beyond that the road really needs to be resurfaced or skim coated (it has for several years now). Regent St. is probably one of the 10 worst roads as far as it overall condition goes. The resident of Regent Street really need the Department of Public Works help on this.

This was not just reported 2 months ago. Mr. Hall has been talking with the DPW since 1996, and has been reassured that the road is going to be resurfaced several times.

Some of the potholes are reoppenning and need to be filled again before winter. It will be good when the is resurfaced.

The potholes on Reservoir Street in North Attleboro are getting huge and seriously make me cringe whenever I am forced to drive over them because they are unavoidable. Regent Street is scheduled to be resurfaced in July 2012. Residents will be notified prior to the start of work.

I recently viewed other problems and several have the same answer: road will be resurfaced in July 2012. Is this a standard answer or will Regent Street be repaved?

A number of roads are currently being repaved. Regent Street is on the list for repaving and we are waiting for the final schedule for this street from the contractor. It may fall into early August, but no longer.

Dave,
The contractor will begin raising castings for paving on Monday of next week, weather permitting. Should be paved by the end of the week.

I agree, the road looks great, but after years of calling and posting to this site, I don't understand why the town had to leave a gap between parts of the driveway and the road. It was a mere few inches. Would have looked alot better if it was a thorough job. But, thanks for the new road.
