I have asked DWSD to investigate why my basement is Filling up with sewer water every there is a hard rain or flood waters watch and this is my address is 12681 Westphalia and DWSD said the sewer backup is my responsibility they also refused repair this problem in the alley the caved in sunken basin needs to be repaired so the sewer water will not back in to my basement they have came out to take pictures but nobody has addressed the problem this is ridiculous if I lived In a better area in Detroit and if was white I will I wouldn’t have this problem. I’m reaching out to Channel 7 or channel 4 somebody from the TV new station to my home and walk down my alley and see why DWSD won’t fix this problem . They said this is my problem to fix the alley that’s making salt water every time a hard rain comes it backs up into my home and I’m over 500 feet away and have never seen them snaked out the alley to clean out the system. And that said the alley is my responsibility.

This sewer cave in needs immediate attention. This is a complete cave in many feet deep. Every time it rains neighbors on Westphalia and Goulburn have water in their basements. There is no protective barrier in front of this very large hole -- meaning no one with credentials for evaluating the cave in has even come out to look at the problem.

Staff from the water department came out again to take pictures and make a report on this sewer cave in in the alley behind 12610 Goulburn. That is the fourth time pictures have been taken and this issue probably exists under different reports. Please come out and fix this issue not make more reports. This is the original report.

Why is this cave in being closed. No work has been done. It is exactly the same as reported. The water department has been out multiple times and they only take pictures. That doesn't solve the problem. The sewer needs to be fixed. When it rains, people on Goulburn and Westphalia get water in their basement. Nothing has been addressed regarding this issue.

In February the water department said this issue has been addressed. It is still the same as reported last August. You have taken enough pictures to fill a family album. When are you going to do the work.
