Description
This was being built back in 1997, and I thought every so many years these tanks had to be cleaned inside & out and at least painted? I drive this route daily and have never seen this thing worked on since. This water tower alone is the first advertisement people see when they come into your city. The stains and faded look is saying you needed a fresh paint job years ago. Also with all the other aircraft etc in the area why do you not have a FAA light on this tower. The VA had to upgrade theirs years ago, and there is a communication tower within a mile of this with required lighting. This may not be as tall, but need to show you care a little about your friends in the sky in case of an emergency...

Although the paint coating is showing its age, it is on a prioritized list of capital projects to be completed in the future.
FAA regulations required anything 200ft and over to have a warning light. Even though our tower is only 155ft, we do have a light fixture on top. We will have it inspected and replaced if it is not functioning properly.
