It sounds like someones only home. As long as there is no physical harm to another person, then I think we must over-ride our desires for comfort and our greed to have more (safety, comfort, beauty) to assure people who have little can keep a shelter and place they can call "private property". It is quite humbling to read this sign. Thanks for sharing.
Just to follow-up. I do believe the man/woman in the trailer were evicted last week. The next morning, i saw him ( an elderly african american man) standing beside his RV alongside the road. The RV was broke down. It was heartbreaking to see him with all he had alongside the road. Again, when you take such great offense to the simplest of human needs, shelter, with a trailer parked on a barren street just because it "blights" your house or neighborhood house values (disquised as a threat to your family), give it a second thought. If our neighborhood spent as much time carrying for those in real need rather than caring for our own personal irritants, maybe we might not be so irritated because we'd know these people too well to evict them. Its not about one person to blame, thats not the point, its about our neighborhood energy. I'm certain "love thy neighbor" is more about putting people out than loving them; I've no doubts about that event.
