This is on our list for a Pedestrian Safety Study.
I have questions.
1) Do you know why drivers speed down Lafayette? There is Communipaw Ave and Johnston Ave that seem like they would be quicker.
2) How has this changed since 2021? There is a lot of new construction in the area. Is the situation not as bad as before? Worse? Please do not worry that our response would be different if you say it has improved. If construction n has slowed down vehicles then we will know that when the construction is over, it may get worse again.
While I summarize the issues and bring them to the engineers in a nice neat package, the narratives like the one you just posted and as many suggestions/requests as possible, have an important impact. While the engineers have their tool box, the residents know the situation on the ground. Together gets a better solution.

I really have no idea why people speed down Lafayette. People just drive reckless in general.
Since 2021 there are more cars parked on the street which has decreased visibility at the intersection.
Additionally, the current stop sign that is there now is being held up by tape.
