Agree with the need for a flashing 4 way stop at this intersection. The traffic using Dartmouth as bisect moves very fast, often without awareness of stops, or that they are in a neighborhood.

Agreed. There are at least 2 accidents at this corner every year.

Why is there a stop sign on Deering anyway for Dartmouth but not Noyes or Pitt or anything else? It doesn't make sense to have it in the first place.

A 4 way flash at that intersection would be helpful. But I walk on Deering frequently, and the people I see running through the stop sign seem aware of the stop, but are choosing to disregard it. They slow, enough to check for other traffic, then run through the intersection. A few well placed expensive tickets might be a helpful deterrent.

Give out some tickets, and maybe they'll get the idea that STOP actually means STOP! It is a neighborhood.
