Attention Enfield Sewer Users:
For some time now the Water Pollution Control Dept has incorrectly notified many homeowners in Enfield that the homeowner is responsible for the unclogging of debris in pipelines under town owned property.They have no authority,regulation or ordinance in place to enforce this misinformation.In many residential areas the town owns ten feet into your property line (usually where the street meets the grass.
When asked for the regulation or ordinance to enforce their position a Don from the WPCA told me "this is the way its been done for years" Huh?
Yeah he said the homeowner is responsible for clearing any stoppages from the house to the main line in the street!
This is a ridiculous and unlawfull attempt to get home owners to maintain/clear debris in pipes under what is town owned property!
