This issue is worthy of review since pavement markings were placed at this location in the past based upon my review of the location on Google StreetView..
https://www.google.com/maps/@42.888405,-73.892632,3a,75y,122.47h,89.09t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1snHTkbSrpOK9akrNk1A_9GA!2e0
However, the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) states:
"Pavement markings shall not be required at grade crossings where the posted or statutory highway
speed is less than 40 mph if an engineering study indicates that other installed devices provide suitable warning and control. "
I have emailed this issue to the Town highway superintendent. In the future I suggest that issues be brought directly to Town officials and not just posted on SeeClickFix.
