The real problem is the number of drivers that have no ability to gauge the width of their vehicles when driving. Take notice how drivers negotiating limited space cannot properly judge the position of their vehicle to allow oncoming traffic to proceed. Many drivers in large SUV's and trucks seem to have no ability to navigate tight spaces. So, as commented, some genius makes the street one way to prevent a mishap.

That street was horrible as a two way street especially for the people living there. Good for them getting it changed.

The residents finally won the battle to get this accomplished. If ou lived on this block ou would understand wh the change was necessary. Many accidents and many damaged resident vehicles. Sorry for the inconvenience....State Rd. awaits you!

I have family that live on the street, twice my car was hit by some jack wagon driving 45 mph so they could beat out the person traveling in the other direction. I was over there the other day and saw 3 people in 15 mins still come up the wrong way even with a flashing sign that clearly says do not enter - one way.

The 'geniuses' behind the change were the residents of Woodland Avenue. The street was not fine, as evidenced by the numerous accidents that occured all too frequently while it was a two-way street. Our cars were getting side swipped, sideview mirrors getting knocked off, and a couple of cars were totaled.

Had people followed the 15 mph speed limit that was initially implemented to reduce the accidents, then we would not have had to change it to one way.

It's a residential street, not a short cut. Go ahead and complain about the 3 minutes State Rd. adds to your commute....it's certainly better than my neighbors having to complain about another insurance claim....

I applaud the resident geniuses of the 4900 block of Woodland Avenue. If I were alive today, I would give them a Nobel Prize.

The township changed Woodland Ave. to a one way street after talking to the residents of Woodland Ave. and the Drexeline Shopping Center. They also held a meeting at the township building that was open to any interested party.
