WHY is the Town allowing the Marble Street Deli's owners to leave this building in its present condition?? This is an embarrassment to our community, particularly because it's a highly visible site on the way into Stoneham Square. Come on! Do something already. If the owners don't want to give it up, then FORCE them to make it more visually appealing.

La qiray Stoneham Board of Health (Isticmaale Diiwaangashan)
The Stoneham Board of Health has had this property baited and trapped, and continues to monitor this property for any continuing pest activity and to date there is none. The Stoneham Fire department and Stoneham Inspectional services have addressed all exterior safety hazards with the owners of the property.
As stated to Ms. Warren in a recent email, regulatory departments such as Inspectional services, or the Board of Health are bound by written regulation. Unfortunately, There are no current or previous regulations that address unsightliness or property aesthetics, and the only enforceable regulations on an abandoned commercial property such as this one have to do with imminent conditions that endanger health or safety (rodents, previously broken window, loose roof brick), which the town departments have Satisfactorily addressed. We will continue to monitor this property for any conditions which may be a health or safety threat.
Thank you.

Time for concerned citizens to spring into action (once again, I might add)
