Hello,

This tree has been a problem for quite sometime. We believe the tree has been struck by lightening and as a result is now very weak and dead. The tree is very close to the road and power lines, we have had to remove large falling branches 10+ times. Almost every rain storm, wind storm, snow, etc. branches start snapping and fall into the road. I have personally seen this tree make driving conditions hazardous on the road for cars passing by as limbs and branches are constantly falling off and it's hard to keep up with. If you look closely at the picture I submitted you can see some of the large branches that we have had to toss into our yard after landing in the road. Currently, the tree is blackened and has some very large branches at the top that are weakening by the day. I ask for the removal of this tree for the towns safety when driving on Candlewood Lake Road South. The tree is very close to the road, and I'm assuming it is going to come crashing down soon. My wish is to fix this before it becomes a larger problem for the residents of New Milford. Thank you for your time, I look forward to being in touch.
